What is Coronavirus?
Coronavirus is actually a family of viruses, coronaviridae, classified by their “crown-like” appearance.
COVID-19 spreads from person to person via droplets, either through direct contact with an infected surface or by inhaling infected saliva/mucus droplets.
The incubation period for the novel coronavirus can range from 1-14 days, usually averaging about 5 days. Common symptoms include fever, tiredness, shortness of breath, and dry cough; other symptoms include aches/pains, sore throat, and nausea.
How Can I Help?
Wash your hands regularly with soap and warm water for at least 20 seconds, or clean them with alcohol-based hand rub.
Maintain at least 2-meter (~7 ft) distance between you and people coughing or sneezing.
Avoid touching your face, especially your eyes, nose, mouth.
Cover your mouth and nose when coughing or sneezing.
Stay home if you feel unwell.
Refrain from smoking and other activities that weaken the lungs.
Practice physical distancing by avoiding unnecessary travel and staying away from large groups of people.
